The Vizsla Rescue Fund is a public, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides grants for charitable causes. The goal of VRF/Medical Assistance (VRF/MA) is to promote the adoptability of rescue animals that are expected to regain health and that display the temperament that defines the Vizsla. The VRF hopes to raise the quality of life of these animals and have a hand in giving them an opportunity to lead happy, healthy lives in stable, loving homes.
VRF/Medical Assistance was founded to provide emergency funds to offset the extraordinary expenses of abandoned or injured Vizslas. VRF steps in on cases for which no Vizsla or general rescue group exists, for animals rejected by other organizations such as Vizsla mixes, for animals in high kill shelters or for those cases that have exhausted other avenues of funding. We use the power of the Internet, allowing us to quickly respond on the behalf of a Vizsla in need, worldwide.
VRF also strives to stimulate a dialogue through efforts and examples which will aid in educating the public about rescue animals and organizations. We have active volunteer committees working on public relations/education, fundraising, and are proud to have a veterinarian advisory board to help with difficult cases.
The VRF/MA fund will have an initial cap of $500 per animal. We will reimburse or pay a provider directly for extraordinary vet expenses. As a public, non-profit organization we have a degree of accountability that must be met by the requesting group. Any one of the following items on file with the VRF will satisfy the organizations requirements.
